Rose Quartz "The Love Stone"    Hi Loverz!!!    Rose Quartz is known as "The Love Stone" so naturally it's one of my favorite crystals.  Healing crystals are semi-precious/precious stones that are said to have individual healing properties depending on the type of stone, it's color and where it comes from.    I like to keep one in my purse, car and even a small one inside my bra! Seriously, it's a thing and it helps.  Whether you have anxiety, are healing from a broken heart or stressed at work it helps just having something to take your mind off of it.    You can get raw rough stones or tumbled, smooth and shiny ones. An easy meditation when you're not feeling your best is to hold the stone in the palm of your hand, close your eyes and breathe deeply in and out a few times. Pay close attention to what the stone feels like in your hand. Is it cold? Smooth or does it have rough edges? Hi Loverz!  

 

While healing from my knee injury this season I learned how important it is to heal from the inside out. I truly believe the medicine is in the food and what we eat, we feel.

 

Turmeric Latte has become one of my favorite drinks any time of day and it's decaffeinated which makes it perfect for the evening. It tastes amazing hot or cold and takes just minutes to make. Turmeric is packed with nutrients, antioxidants and has so many health benefits. It's well known for it's powerful anti-inflammatory abilities as well as a natural painkiller. These are two huge reasons it was my go-to drink while my knee was healing but it's also has amazing beauty benefits as well! 

 

The recipe is simple. All you need is powdered or fresh grated Turmeric, water, coconut oil and honey. First, stir in the powder or grated turmeric in hot water or use your choice of milk in place of water but I love using water and sipping on it throughout the day. Then, Stir in your honey and oil and your done. I mix mine in a blender just for good measure,sometimes stirring doesn't blend it enough. There is so many ways to play around with this recipe by adding cinnamon, vanilla, ginger to name a few. So have fun and be sure to share your own recipes with me, take a photo of your latte and tag me! serves: 1

 

1 cup of hot water (Or the milk of your choice)

1 teaspoon Turmeric 

1 teaspoon of raw honey

1 teaspoon coconut oil

FINALS

Hi Loves!!

Wow, what a season!!! 

 Tonight is night one of the two night Dancing With The Stars finale and thanks to all of you #TeamStopandGo, James and I made it! One of my favorite things about the last week is seeing how much the stars have grown, in their dancing but also as people. The road to the Mirrorball isn't just about how well they perform on show night but the journey they take and share with everyone watching along the way. To say the least this is a life changing experience. Speaking of life changing... my partner this season has been a 1 in a million, a 1 of a kind special human being, who has made this season unforgettable. James surprised us all! 16 months after nearly losing his life in an indycar crash, (in the same car on stage last week)! he's here dancing in the finals! It's a testament to his drive and determination, he will say it's me... but I'm telling you it's him! We are so excited to go out there tonight, give it our best and have fun like we always do!!! Please vote, every single one counts!!! And we love and appreciate each and every one of you!! Thank you!! #TEAMSTOPANDGO

Semi-finals

Hi Loves!!

There is so much to say, I created a blog to say it all! ;) 

 Tonight is the Dancing With The Stars semi-final and my first dance back after my knee-injury sidelined me 3 weeks ago. Choreographing James the last few weeks and watching him perform filled me with a new sense of pride for who he was. How someone dances says so much about them. James doesn't let curveballs, accidents or a missteps slow him down. He puts the pedal to the metal and his heart into everything he does and I know that's something so many people have connected to and felt so inspired by.

   I am so happy to be back with my Hinch and performing this epic number that's been in my mind for weeks.  this dance is an expression of him and his story.
