While healing from my knee injury this season I learned how important it is to heal from the inside out. I truly believe the medicine is in the food and what we eat, we feel.
Turmeric Latte has become one of my favorite drinks any time of day and it's decaffeinated which makes it perfect for the evening. It tastes amazing hot or cold and takes just minutes to make. Turmeric is packed with nutrients, antioxidants and has so many health benefits. It's well known for it's powerful anti-inflammatory abilities as well as a natural painkiller. These are two huge reasons it was my go-to drink while my knee was healing but it's also has amazing beauty benefits as well!
The recipe is simple. All you need is powdered or fresh grated Turmeric, water, coconut oil and honey. First, stir in the powder or grated turmeric in hot water or use your choice of milk in place of water but I love using water and sipping on it throughout the day. Then, Stir in your honey and oil and your done. I mix mine in a blender just for good measure,sometimes stirring doesn't blend it enough. There is so many ways to play around with this recipe by adding cinnamon, vanilla, ginger to name a few. RECIPE --- serves: 1
1 cup of hot water (Or the milk of your choice)
1 teaspoon Turmeric
1 teaspoon of raw honey
1 teaspoon coconut oil
